Thesis "Expression and Suppression : aspects of military censorship in Australia during the Great War". Covers scope of censorship in Australia under the War Precautions Act. Looks at contingency censorship scheme after Boer War, personnel and procedures used to control press, postal and cable services, field censorship, how exploited by government in conscription debate, how used to suppress industrial/union activities and aliens and impact on labour movement.
