Description
The former Imperial Japanese Navy battleship Haruna lies in shallow water at her moorings in Kure, Japan. She had been sunk by US carrier plane attacks on 28 July 1945. Note the wooden vessel stranded on her forecastle, and the vegetation used as camouflage on her decks and superstructure. Haruna was scrapped after the war.
