Jacquinot Bay, New Britain. Troops unloading stores at the end of the voyage. Nineteen ALC 40's and one ALC 120 Australian built landing craft of 41st Landing Craft Company, Royal Australian Engineers crossed the Coral Sea during the epic voyage from Cairns, Qld, to Jacquinot Bay on the southern coast of New Britain in fourteen days.
