Nambu Type 14 Pistol : Imperial Japanese Army
Description
Nambu Type 14 semi automatic pistol. Machined blued steel frame and top slide with knurled cocking knob at the rear. It has a safety lever on the left side and a large trigger guard. The frame is stamped on the left side with four Japanese characters designating 14 Year Type and on the right the symbol of the Nagoya Arsenal, the serial number and 19.8 (1944 August). The grips are serrated wood and there is a fixed lanyard ring at the rear of the action.
History / Summary
This is a late production pistol with the solid round cocking piece at the rear of the action and rough machining marks.
