Owen Mk 1 Sub-machine Gun. The receiver body is stamped OWEN 9MM MK I 42 LYSAGHT P.K. AUSTRALIA PAT.PENDING. This weapon and magazine is green and yellow camouflage painted. The pistol grips are a black plastic compound and the butt is wood. A webbing sling is attached to this weapon.
History / Summary
This gun is a trials weapon and the first of its type to be camouflage painted for jungle warfare.
