Description
Painted cardboard image of Santa Claus carrying a sack of toys. The figure is wearing a traditional white trimmed red suit and hat with black boots.
History / Summary
This decoration was made in 1944 by Allied prisoners of war held at Keijo in Korea. They were brought back to Australian by QX19115 Lieutenant Gilbert Ford Hamilton of 3 Reserve Motor Transport Company. Hamilton enlisted in Brisbane and served with the Australian Army Service Corps from July 1940 to February 1941. He joined 3 Reserve MT Coy the same month. He was discharged on 29 November 1945.
