Weatherstone, Albert Granville Frank DFM (Flying Officer)
File of papers relating to the military service of members of the Weatherstone family (Walter Frank, 6 Light Horse Regiment, First World War and Albert Granville Frank, 450 Squadron, The Desert Harassers, Second World War) which was passed to Arthur Bazley the Editor of the RSL journal "Stand To" for use in biographical research in 1953. The file contains souvenir material about the service of Albert Granville Frank Weatherstone in 450 Squadron. There are menus, ration books, clothing issue records, aerial photographs of Operation Bowler, copies of letters he sent to his brother from overseas, foreign language phrase books, RAAF cloth badge and a silk card "Please confirm my particulars to the British Military Mission in Moscow" in Russian and English, plus photograph cards of the dead Mussolini hanging by his feet, two copies (one incomplete and annotated) of the magazine of Canberra High School Ex Students Asociation "Contact" July 1945 which contains information on former pupils now serving or prisoner of war. Arthur Bazley has prepared biographical and military notes on the Weatherstones for use as potential articles for "Stand To".
