Pattern 1861 Volunteer Artillery Carbine : Tasmanian Military Forces
Description
Pattern 1861 Volunteer Artillery Carbine. Percussion lock marked Issac Hollis & Sons late Hollis & Sheath, Birmingham and a crown surrounded by 'Makers to Her Majestys War Department'. Tang marked TV 294 and stock has the Issac Hollis manufacturers oval mark. Bayonet boss engraved 1010. This carbine is similar to the service Pattern 1861 Artillery Carbine but has bronze furniture. This weapon is complete and has an original ramrod marked 205.
