Description
Studio portrait of N238497 / NX132527 Private (Pte) William Neal. A baker's apprentice from Bexley, NSW, Pte Neal served with the 45th Battalion of the Citizens Military Force from 15 October 1941, before enlisting in the Second Australian Infantry Force on 2 September 1942. He joined the 103 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, before transferring to the Australian Army Catering Corps as a cook. Pte Neal was discharged on 11 Feburary 1946.
