Das schlafende Asien [Sleeping Asia]
Description
One of a series of fourteen lithographs from the published print portfolio, 'Europa' commissioned in 1922 by the publishing house, Georg Muller Verlad. The image depicts a mass of bodies lying tightly packed side by side stretching infinitely towards the horizon. The figures lie motionlessly whilst few amongst the crowd begin to slowly stir.
