Description
One of a series of fourteen lithographs from the published print portfolio, 'Europa' commissioned in 1922 by the publishing house, Georg Muller Verlad. In this image Scharf depicts the overcrowding of German cities with the enlargement of civilians who sit disenchanted and exhausted upon the roofs of their tiny houses which stretch infinitely towards the horizon.
