Rollins, Bertram Wilfred (Sergeant, b.1893 - d.1922)
Collection relating to the First World War service of 2487 Sergeant Bertram Wilfred Rollins, 46th Australian Infantry Battalion, France, 1917-1919.
Collection consists of 3 postcards and 2 letters:
- 1 x undated postcard from Sergeant Rollins' parents to him, wishing him well and thanking him for his postal communication to them;
- 1 x undated postcard from Sergeant Rollins' younger brother Eric wishing him a merry Christmas;
- 1 x letter from Sergeant Rollins to his parents dated 1 December 1917 informing them of the lack of work that they are doing and his promotion to the rank of Corporal;
- 1 x letter from Sergeant Rollins to his parents dated 16 December 1917 informing them that he is well, discussing post (both sent and received), and how cold the weather had become; and
- 1 x silk postcard, dated 11 May 1919 from Sergeant Rollins to his younger brother Eric informing him that he is well and asking about Eric.
