Letter from Miss F Jackson to the editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Balgoulah, 19 January 1916. Enclosed is a letter from Sergeant Major Frederick Herbert Barley, Australian Army Veterinary Corps, to Florrie, Ma'adi, Egypt, 14 November 1915. In the letter, Barley speaks of the losses and difficulty of holding positions on the peninsula, the political situation in Australia and the need for young men to join the forces.
