Description
Extract of a letter from 487 Trooper John Byers Fisher to his parents received a few days after his death. In the letter, written in camp at Heliopolis, Fisher gives an account of the landing at Gallipoli. Attached is a newspaper clipping which states that Trooper Fisher was killed in action in the Dardanelles, that he joined the Light Horse in Coonamble and was well known in the district.
