Description
Letter from [E MacDermod] to the editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Sydney, 30 December 1915. This letter asks for the enclosed letter from Mrs Newmarch, wife of the Officer Commanding of the Heliopolis Palace Hospital, to be published in the paper for general information. Attached is a letter from Blanche Newmarch to the Secretary of the Neutral Bay Lawn Tennis Club, Heliopolis, 14 November 1915. In her letter, Newmarch mentions that old newspapers sent to the hospital for distribution are not passed on to the troops and that it is a waste of resources to send them.
