Description
Letter from Amy D Mehnke to Mrs Ray, Stawell, 19 September 1915. In the letter Mehnke mentions her father is in Ruhleben internment camp as her parents were holidaying in Rotenburg when war broke out and asks Mrs Ray to write to her mother as has taken up residence in Rotenburg to be near her husband but is very lonely. Attached to the letter is a newspaper clipping advising that letters to interned Australians cannot be sent through the High Commission. [Includes envelope]
