Description
Letter from George A Jones to the editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Hillgrove, 10 February 1916. In the letter, Jones, gives details of the Goodwin family of Hillgrove which includes 5 sons and 1 daughter; 3 of which are serving: Aubrey Emanuel Goodwin, Royal Australian Navy; 1014 Edgar Goodwin, 7th Light Horse; 2005 Louis John Goodwin, 31st Battalion. The letter also mentions that photographs of the family will be posted under separate cover for insertion in the Sun and Daily Sydney Mail and requests they be returned to the sender. Another son 20128 Huntley Dalton Goodwin, Army Medical Corps enlisted in 1917 but did not leave Australia.
