WFX17018 Private (Pte) Betty Dettman, a member of the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) attached to the 2/6th Australian General Hospital (AGH), doing some washing in a boiler. Pte Dettman and a number of VAD's were transferred to the 2/6th AGH from the 2/9th AGH to help cope with the casualties from the battle for El Alamein.
