Tubular construction having a reinforced centre section covered with a brown wood fibre heat shield (damaged on the right side), two pistol grips and a conical rear that has a rolled edge. On the left side is a dovetail bracket for an optical sight. The forward alloy trigger pistol grip section with brown ribbed plastic side plates, has a button safety and a rear cocking hammer. It is marked with Cyrillic letters together with the serial number and 1969r. The battle sights are a double folding front post and an adjustable rear leaf. Attached to the weapon is an adjustable green webbing sling with steel swivel clips.
This RPG 7V anti-tank rocket launcher was issued to Iraq forces during the Gulf War. This particular type of rocket launcher has long been a standard launcher for Iraq as well as Warsaw Pact forces. It was brought back by HMAS Westralia, which served as a fleet replenishment ship during the Gulf War 1991.
