During the time of the visit of the Australian Minister for Navy and Air, Mr William McMahon, three officers out in the field. Left to right: Captain John D. Burke, Personal Assistant to Commander 1st Commonwealth Division, Major General M. M. Alston-Roberts-West. Burke was commissioned in the 30th Battalion (NSW Scottish Regiment), served as a Platoon Commander C Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), Korea, before being posted as Personal Assistant to Commander 1 Commonwealth Division late in 1952; a British Officer, 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards, and Lieutenant unknown, Australian Army Provost Corps.
