Pattern 13 (P13) Rifle
Description
Pattern 13 rifle (British experimental). The receiver is not marked apart from a a double arrow sale mark on the left side and the serial number. The stock is unmarked and the foregrip has four diagonal finger grooves on each side.
History / Summary
This type of rifle was produced in the United Kingdom as a possible replacement weapon for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield rifle but the First World War stopped further development. The United States of America adopted the design as the M17 rifle in .30-06 calibre.
