Korea. May 1953. 210222 Corporal Nat Whyte of North Perth, WA, acting Platoon Sergeant of B Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), just returned from an exercise in the hills and carrying a heavy load. As well as the usual gear he is carrying a shovel, a telephone and on his back he has a primus stove with the vital point covered with an old sock to keep it clean. Note the two soldiers in the background pushing a trailer.
