Portrait of 402367 Flight Lieutenant (FLT LT) Jack Frederick Leggo, of Sydney, NSW, and FLT LT Harold Barlow Martin (RAF), Sydney , NSW, outside Buckingham Palace after they had received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his Majesty King George VI. FLT LT Leggo and FLT LT Martin were navigator and pilot of the first all- Australian crew to bomb Germany from No. 455 (Hampden) Squadron RAAF, the operating with Bomber Command.
