Lancaster bomber aircraft of No. 460 Squadron at RAF Station Breighton TOOK PART IN A HEAVY RAID ON DUISBURG. Sergeants off duty in the Mess awaiting the return of the aircraft are, left to right, standing: 415066 Sergeant (Sgt) T. E. Bent; 415135 Sgt A. W. H. Gliddon; Sgt Woods, RAF (possibly 1184099 D W Woods); 405884 Sgt S. N. Scott; 415079 Sgt Herbert Leonard Fuhrmann; Warrant Officer Gorman, RAF. At table: Sgt Wilson, RAF; 414015 Flight Sergeant A. T. Fitzpatrick; Sgt Ablewhite, RAF; Sgt Beaumont, RAF; 11395 Sgt D. W. Head; Sgt Smith, RAF. Bent, Gliddon, Scott, Fuhrmann [and Wood if this identification is correct] were lost on operations on 30 July 1943.
