Australia. c 1942. An Australian AC1 Sentinel Cruiser Tank. This was a design started in late 1940 for a tank intended for Australian production using only readily available materials and sources. The AC1 design was completed in September 1941 and a prototype finished in January 1942. A total of sixty six vehicles were built and these were used only for training. Armament consisted of one 2 pounder gun and two Vickers machine guns.
