Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 494 Private Albert Edward Sheehan, 14th Battalion, Gallipoli, 1915.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Wallet includes a single handmade postcard sent to Albert Sheehan's sister Clara A Holden from Gallipoli in June 1915. On the postcard, he describes hard fighting, especially at the Gallipoli landings, his changing attitude to war and his respect for the Turkish.
Albert Edward Sheehan was killed in action during an attack on Hill 971, 8 August 1915.
