Description
An unidentified soldier stands on the ruins of the Quays of Babylon. It is hard to imagine that here once stood the whares and warehouses of the premier mart of Asia. The quays were built by Nebuchadnezzar II, the ruling King of the area that included Babylon, in about 586 BC along with the famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
