Photographs relating to Captain Alfred Charles Thompson, 6th Light Horse Regiment. From Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Thompson received a commission with 6th Light Horse on 5 October 1914 and embarked from Sydney on 12 December 1914. Following service on Gallipoli in 1915, he was killed in action on 2 November 1917 during the third battle of Gaza. Captain Thompson was 28 years old.
