"The Tank Bank. Here you see/ a few buyers [for War bonds] only. There were/ thousands of people in the /Square when I took this. Note/ the hole in the front of the/ Tank ["Egbert"] where it has been struck/ by a shell. I dont remember who the small statue is in/ memory of the large column/ is part of Nelsons column."
