Portrait of an unidentified British soldier of the 1st Battalion, King's Liverpool Regiment; from the collection of 746 Private John Joseph Tomlinson, 1st Light Horse Regiment. Tomlinson served for 16 years in the 1st Battalion, the King's Liverpool Regiment before serving with the Merchant Navy. In February 1915 he enlisted in the AIF and served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment and then the Anzac Provost Corps.
