Group portrait of John Joseph Tomlinson (second from right) and an unidentified group of veterans of the First World War and Second World War on Anzac Day, standing with a banner that reads Mercantile Marine and two Australian flags. Formerly 746 Sergeant Tomlinson of the Anzac Provost Corps when he discharged, Tomlinson served for 16 years in the 1st Battalion, the King's Liverpool Regiment before serving with the Merchant Navy. In February 1915 he enlisted in the AIF and served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment and then the Anzac Provost Corps.
