Description
"Showing our own position in foreground & enemy's country in distance & Achi Baba peak. The smoke on Kaba Tepe [Gaba Tepe] shows shells bursting on lookout station fired from ships about a mile from the land. This point of land was always held by the enemy & proved a constant source of trouble to us for the Turks used it as a look-out & observation station for gun firing along the beach including "Beachy" [Beachy Bill gun] "Leaden Bill" etc."
