Description
One of a series of six small screen prints by Australian graphic artist Toni Robertson (b.1953) created from photographs of anti-war graffiti around Canberra. It features the features the slogan "NO MORE WAR", spray painted onto one of Canberra's famed bus shelters, strangely bomb shelter like in appearance, in an unknown suburban location.
The series documents public graffiti related to public disapproval of uranium mining and export, nuclear armament as well as broad anti-war and pro-peace sentiments. Robertson has depicted an array of sites, some well-known, some obscure, in order to give the impression that dissent was present in all corners of the capital.
