Description
Album "Scenes of my travels and training with the Royal Australian Siege Artillery Brigade, Australian Imperial Forces" and "A present for mother from Ern". 'Book two' containing 193 images across 30 pages, including notations on front and back covers. Relating to the service of 664 Gunner Ernest Edwin Woodland, Siege Artillery Brigade and later 54th Battery. Gunner Woodland was killed in action on 30 April 1917. The album is laid out artistically and each image is captioned, many soldiers are named and covers training in Weymouth, trips to London, training at Sheerness, military sports at Sittingbourne, camp scenes, Wellmarsh, route marches to Iwade, Eastchurch, and trips to Eastbourne and Windsor.
