Diary of Major General Kenneth Eather
This handwritten diary relates to the service of Major General Kenneth Eather during the Second World War.
Recorded in a commercial Hebrew and Christian diary, Eather maintained daily entries during the period 1 January 1942 to 31 December 1942. There are entries detailing training operations in which he was involved and comments regarding the conditions faced on the Kokoda Track during September 1942. The diary also covers the plans and activities leading up to his decision to request a withdrawl to Imata Ridge on 16 September 1942.
