Description
Photographs relating to 79906 Leading Aircraftman Herbert Henry Hall, 11 Repair and Salvage Unit. From Mareeba, Queensland, Hall enlisted on 8 December 1942 and served in New Guinea and Borneo. He returned to Australia and was discharged on 19 December 1945. Photographs include local currency and people, a deceased Japanese soldier, Labuan War Cemetery with original grave markers, including the grave of SX7964 Lieutenant Thomas Currie Derrick, 2/48th Battalion. Some photographs have been hand-coloured by Hall.
