Description
Sketch book relating to the service of NX34279 Gunner George Napier Sprod. It is a small, brown sketchbook of 20 leaves, 40 pages and 17 cartoons. The cartoons date from the period between his enlistment and departure for Singapore and feature scenes of his training. All the subjects are camp related and appear thematic. The first cartoon sets the scene of men enlisting, the second is their arrival to camp, and the final cartoon is a scene of men at the training camp.
Both the back and front cover has light pencil sketchings. The back features five light sketches of non-identifiable faces.
