Portrait of 410597 Warant Officer Hugh John Hart RAAF, of Inverleigh via Geelong, Victoria, navigator of No 299 Squadron RAF. On 3 April 1945, Hart went missing on operations over Denmark, his aircraft having crashed into the sea, but later reported to be safe. Hart and two other crew members escaped to Sweden, two others were hospitalised in Denmark and one was killed on impact.
