Recording of the song titled 'When the boys come home (home boys home)', created as part of the Music and the First World War project. Music and lyrics written by W H Jude. Produced by Chris Latham, wtih Andrew Goodwin as vocalist (tenor), and Alan Hicks on piano. This recording was made at Flat Rock Studios, Sydney, on 14 March 2018. The work is performed in the spirit of the time with some changes made for the modern ear.

Chris Latham, producer of this recording, notes 'This is a very attractive and catchy song. It is quite sweet and very singable. It has a resemblance to folk music and the description of campfire ditty on the cover of the sheet music says it all.'
