[Sound recording] The Great Little Army
Description
Recording of the instrumental march titled 'The Great Little Army', created as part of the Music and the First World War project. Music composed by Kenneth Alford. Produced by Chris Latham with Alan Hicks on piano. This recording was made at Flat Rock Studios, Sydney, on 16 March 2018. The work is performed in the spirit of the time with some changes made for the modern ear.
Chris Latham, producer of this recording, notes: 'This a good march and if you like marches, then you will like this one. It has three sections which is a little unusual and varies more than most marches. Alford knows what he is doing and is a perfect composer.'
