No nukes in the Pacific
A protest poster campaigning against the use of nuclear weapons. The poster depicts a man wearing a Hawaiian shirt which is adorned with the repeated images of palm trees, mushroom clouds from nuclear explosions and a boat. Above each mushroom cloud is the name of a nuclear test sites in the Pacific, including Mururoa Atoll and Marshall Island, Bikini Atoll, and Eniwetok Atoll. The boat that is repeated through the pattern of the Hawaiian shirt is the Pacific Peacemaker, an Australian yacht involved in the anti-nuclear campaign, particularly involved in protests against the development of the trident nuclear submarine. In the background is a black sky and dark ocean. On the horizon in bold clear the letters are the words "No Nukes in the Pacific". At the bottom of the poster are the words "For a nuclear free & independent Pacific".
