Nach zehn Jahren: Vater und Sohne
Description
This work is from a portfolio of 33 reprinted in 1957 by the Heartfield Archive and the East German government. Heartfield also produced a second version of this in 1934, "Nach Zwanzig Jahren", in protest at the military and social policies of the Nazi party. A poster depicting Field Marshal Hindenburg (Chancellor of the Weimar Republic) with an army of young boys marching towards him and marching away from him is a row of skeletons. The text on the image reads 'After ten years, fathers and sons'.
