UNTAC election poster
Description
An educational poster in Cambodian produced by the United Nations Transitional Authority for Cambodia (UNTAC). The poster depicts some of the processes involved in free elections including people arriving at a polling both with their identification, candidates debating in front of a crowd, voting behind screen and placing votes in the ballot box. UNTAC produced a variety of posters to inform Cambodians of the electoral process and encourage their full participation in the election. This is one of many posters that were designed to build confidence in the secrecy of the ballot and instruct voters in voting procedures.
