Description

Recto: An educational poster with the headline 'Problems with visas and passport?' produced by the United Nations Transitional Authority for Cambodia (UNTAC). The poster depicts a smiling man holding a passport. On the man's T-shirt appears a labelled map of Cambodia. In the background a plane is flying around a globe of the world. The design illustrates the work of UNTAC Foreign Affairs Service in Cambodian, which issued passports and visas to Cambodians as well as supervising and controlling immigration and foreign policy. Many posters were disseminated throughout 1992 and 1993 to inform Cambodians of the work of UNTAC and the services they provided.

Verso: Inverted; illustrations and text explaining the role of the UNTAC Foreign Affairs Service. In the upper left is the heading 'Operations in Foreign Affairs Field'. The upper right image depicts a man having his passport or Visa checked at an airport. The lower left image shows a United Nations check point.
