UNICEF child welfare poster
Description
A poster produced by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The poster shows a small baby girl lying on her mother's lap receiving some eye drops from a monk. Beneath this image are three lines of text in Khmer (not transcribed) and the symbols of UNICEF and a Khmer organisation. Both the image and text are set against of blue background. One of the major functions of UNICEF's programme in Cambodia was to increasing access to basic health and nutrition services to reduce the high rates of infant, child and maternal disease, mortality and malnutrition. This is one of many posters designed to inform Cambodians of the work of UNICEF and the services they provided.
