Photograph of 6602 Private Lindon George Albon Peisley and "Dick"
Studio portrait of 6602 Private Lindon George Albon Peisley, 19th Australian Infantry Battalion and "Dick". Annotation on front reads; “Sincerely Yours Lin 6.1.18 FRANCE”.
Letter addressed to his nieces on verso reads; ‘Best of love to all at Yamb(?) & also Doll when you write. don’t forget kid xx. My Dear Nieces, Just a Pte of Dick & myself & trusting you receive it safely & also find all in the very best of health as it leaves both of us. Dick sends his very best of love to you & is waiting for letters from you also. The weather is very cold here now & especially in the little (dug outs) on the lines but I suppose one will get over all that. Xmas time was very quiet in the line & also N. Years Day which was absolutely the worst ever I had & hoping there is no more to be done in the trenches. I had a letter from Jack dated 27/12/17 & he was OK & said that he received a good heap of mail. (Lucky devil). All my dear ones I will ring off with heaps of love to you all & hoping to hear from you soon. XXXXXXXX’
Printed on postcard paper.
