Description
New Years Dinner Menu from 1 January 1917, 55th Battalion AIF, 'somewhere in France'. Typed in french with translations hand written in English. The dishes on the menu are presented with wordplay and cynicism; one dish 'Poulets Fritz' (German Chickens), and the soup dish is listed 'Soup a l'eau de Somme' (Somme Water Soup).
