Informal portrait of 21233 Steward Eric Norman Finn (at rear) aboard the HMAS Sydney with "a mate" [unidentified] with his head through the ring.
21233 Eric Norman Finn discharged from Royal Australian Navy in July 1941, enlisting with Australian Army with the service number VX64081 and was posted to the 2/29th Battalion in September 1941. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal; Lance Corporal Finn was died of illness whilst a prisoner of war (POW) in June 1943.
