Grave marker photograph for 2266 Private (Pte) Frederick Stanton, 54 Australian Infantry Battalion. A labourer prior to enlisting on 1 February 1916, he embarked from Sydney on HMAT Boorara (A42) on 19 August 1916. Pte Stanton was killed in action near Ginchy, France. He was 43 years old.
