28 cm SK L/40 'Amiens Gun' Model 1/24 Scale
Description
1/24 scale model of the German 28 cm SK L/40 railway gun captured by Australian forces on 8 November 1918, at Harbonnieres in France, and known as the 'Amiens Gun'. The model is constructed from brass, and is primed in light grey matt paint. The full-sized gun was painted in a multi-coloured camouflage scheme when it was captured. The model was built in 1992 from copies of drawings supplied by the Australian War Memorial.
